Final Fantasy 16: 17 Voice Actors You Might Recognize

The main characters in Final Fantasy 16 are voiced by these people.

Final Fantasy is back again, which isn’t surprising given how many games there are in the series, but this time there’s more action. Here, you can explore a world that looks like Medieval Europe and follow Clive Rosfield’s journey with more depth than in previous games in the series.

Some players, like you since you’re here, want to know who voices their favorite or least favorite characters in a new game, and Final Fantasy 16 has some great voice acting. So, who are Clive, Cid, and the rest of the Hideaway gang?

Ben Starr (Clive Rosfield)

Ben Starr (Clive Rosfield)

The guy on the sign is the best place to start. Ben Starr is the person who plays the main character, Clive. Even though he’s been in movies like Survivor, he’s better known for his work on TV shows like You or, more famously, Jamestown.

Even though he did the voice of Sharp in Arknights, which was his first video game job, Clive is by far his biggest game part. And since he did such a great job, let’s hope he stays in the video game business.

Logan Hannan (Young Joshua)

Logan Hannan (Young Joshua)

Even though Logan is younger, he has a lot more video game knowledge. Here, he plays Joshua before the time jump. He also played Hugo in A Plague Tale and a few minor roles in Hogwarts Legacy, the biggest of which was Lucan in The Crossed Wands.

He doesn’t have many big roles outside of the gaming business, which is fine given his age. We’ll probably see more of him as time goes on, both in and out of video games.

Jonathan Case (Joshua Rosfield)

We haven’t finished with Joshua yet. As time goes on and children grow up, they might need a different person to do their motion capture and voice. Jonathan Case is the man for the job, and he did another great and mysterious job in the game.

He’s another actor who doesn’t have a lot of work on his resume yet. Outside of this game, people know him from the movie Underdogs and the short film Isabella.

Charlotte McBurney (Young Jill)

Charlotte McBurney (Young Jill)

Square Enix must like Plague Tale games a lot. Just in case Hugo wasn’t enough, Charlotte McBurney, who does the voice of Amicia, also plays the young version of Jill Warrick.

She doesn’t have as much of a role here because there aren’t many scenes with Jill before we see her as an adult, but Charlotte still does a great job.

Susannah Fielding (Jill Warrick)

Susannah Fielding (Jill Warrick)

Now, here’s the version for adults that comes with us on our trip. Susannah Fielding is the voice of Jill Warrick, who is also known as Shiva.

Compared to the people listed above, she has played more parts. From games like Forza Horizon 5 and Sackboy: A Huge Adventure to TV shows like Cyberpunk 2077 and a lot of others. She was even in an episode of Doctor Who.

Ralph Ineson (Cidolfus Telamon)

Ralph Ineson (Cidolfus Telamon)

Ralph Ineson is the person whose beautiful voice surprised everyone in the Final Fantasy community. He is the one who is behind Cidolfus, the boss of the Hideaway. Or just Cid.

You may also know him as Dagmer Cleftjaw from Game of Thrones or Kevdak from Legend of Vox Machina. He’s even been in Harry Potter, though not as a major role.

Katie Clarkson-Hill (Midadol Telamon)

Katie Clarkson-Hill (Midadol Telamon)

Katie Clarkson-Hill gives Mid, Cid’s daughter, a charming voice. Mid, who is also known as Mid, becomes more important as the story goes on.

She hasn’t been in many video games; the only one where she did more than one voice was Battlefield. TV shows like Hanna and Trust Me make up most of her work.

Christopher York (Gav)

Christopher York (Gav)

Gav is our best tracker, and he also makes us laugh a lot. Even though he’s not the most important figure in terms of the plot, he’s always there to help, so he’s worth mentioning.

Christopher York, who gave life to Gav, is also mostly known for his TV shows and short films. Even though he didn’t have a name, he’s been to Andor.

Nina Yndis (Benedikta Harman)

Nina Yndis (Benedikta Harman)

Benedikta is one of the key Dominants. She is a bad person who has had a very sad past. Nina Yndis did a great job bringing this character to life.

She has worked as Birna from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Edna from Bureiburi Deforuto 2, and in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, among other things. Still, like most of the other people here, she works mostly on TV shows.

Alex Lanipekun (Hugo Kupka)

Alex Lanipekun (Hugo Kupka)

Alex Lanipekun played Kupka, Dominant of the Titan, who was in charge of some of the best parts of the game. Even though everyone did a great job, this voice was a great fit.

Lanipekun has worked on video games before, like Horizon: Forbidden West’s Nil, Control’s Wells, CrossfireX’s Marcus Randall, and Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Wells and a few other characters.

Stephen Critchlow And Ewan Bailey (Byron Rosfield)

Stephen Critchlow And Ewan Bailey (Byron Rosfield)

Well, I have some bad news to tell you. Stephen Critchlow and Ewan Bailey are given credit for Byron Rosfield’s English voice. Byron is the best uncle ever. Stephen died while the movie was being made, so that’s why.

Since both are acknowledged, it’s not clear if his voice work is done by both actors or just by Ewan, but Stephen is still listed out of respect. May he finally be at peace.

David Menkin (Barnabas Tharmr)

David Menkin (Barnabas Tharmr)

Barnabas, who is Odin’s dominant and a key character toward the end, is the King of Waloed. David Menkin, who is very good, plays His Majesty.

Our Lego Luke Skywalker from the Skywalker Saga also played Malos in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and did some other lines in Diablo 4. He also played a role in the TV show Sandman.

Jessica Clark (Jote)

Jessica Clark (Jote)

Jote is the woman you see with Joshua. She is a mystery figure for most of the game, just like Joshua. Her singing was done by the amazing Jessica Clark.

Jess has worked on video games before, like with Serena from Dragon Quest 9 and Freya from Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground. She mostly works on TV, like on the show Versailles.

Andrew Havill (Sylvestre Lesage)

Andrew Havill (Sylvestre Lesage)

Sylvestre is the Emperor of Sanbreque, and his decisions touch the whole continent. The words of emperors need to be strong, and Andrew Havill was up to the task.

And, unless we missed something, this is his first work that has to do with games. Despite that, he was in Downton Abbey and The King’s Speech.

Christina Cole (Anabella)

Christina Cole (Anabella)

Christina Cole gave life to Anabella, the mother of the year, with yet another compelling act in this Basket Random game.

Christina isn’t a newcomer to video games. She has played a few different roles in Vampyr, Sarah Hawkins in Call of Cthulhu: The Official Video Game, and a few more voices in It Takes Two.

Stewart Clarke (Dion Lesage)

Stewart Clarke (Dion Lesage)

Stewart Clarke, Prince of Sanbreque and Bahamut’s Dominant, has Dion’s beautiful voice. He knows more about video games than most people here, but not by much.

He is best known for his parts as Eygon (Valkyrie Elysium) and Ethan Reed (Horizon: Forbidden West), but he has also done other voices for CrossfireX.

Harry Lloyd (Ultima)

Harry Lloyd (Ultima)

Ultima is the best choice to be the last figure in the story. Harry Lloyd gives this mysterious bad guy a voice that fits him well.

Lloyd has played Z (Xenoblade Chronicles 3) and Yulzim Yorden (The DioField Chronicle), so he isn’t new to video games. Still, you may recognize his voice from the TV show Arcane, where he plays the character Viktor.
