GENERAL INFORMATION ON BABY DIET AND NUTRITION

If possible, you should fully breastfeed your child for at least six months. This corresponds to a recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO).

In many developing countries, children are breastfed for the entire first, and in some cases, the second year of life.

However, to support your child’s immune system, you should breastfeed your child for at least six months.

There are different types of bottle formula depending on the age of the baby, according to healthpally.

BABY MILK AT DIFFERENT LEVELS – WHEN WILL WHICH STRENGTH BE INTRODUCED?

Anyone who, for whatever reason, cannot or does not want to breastfeed must feed the child with baby milk of the appropriate strength, chaktty advised.

Pre-nourishment

Both pre and baby milk level 1, the so-called starting milk, is suitable for newborns.

If possible, this should be given until the end of the 6th month of life.

Level 2

However, if your child is no longer full, you can switch to level 2 baby milk after the age of 4 months.

However, you should consult your aftercare midwife or pediatrician before switching. As already mentioned, stage 2 baby milk is introduced after the age of six months.

level 3

Stage 3 can be fed after the tenth month of life.

Children’s milk

There is then special children’s milk for children from one year old.

WHY SHOULDN’T COW’S MILK BE FED?

Cow’s milk is sometimes difficult to digest for humans. That is why many people suffer from lactose intolerance.

Since babies, in particular, do not yet have a well-developed immune system, cow’s milk would lead to diarrhea and other diseases.

For baby milk, cow’s milk is broken down into its components and the proportion of more dangerous substances is increased slightly at each level, healthpally.

If your child has then drunk children’s milk, you can fall back on (low-fat) cow’s milk after about one to one and a half years.

CHILDREN AT RISK OF ALLERGIES

If you or your partner suffer from allergies, 50 percent of the time, it can be assumed that your child is also affected.

This is why you need to buy HA milk, called hypoallergenic milk, for your baby, sexpally experts advised nursing mothers.

This is a little more expensive than conventional baby milk, but it does not contain any allergenic substances.

WHEN SHOULD COMPLEMENTARY FOODS BE INTRODUCED?

From around the age of five months, complementary foods can gradually be introduced into a baby’s diet.

Start from the fifth month after the complementary diet. To start with, just prepare a carrot or parsnip porridge.

If your child can tolerate these vegetables, you can feed them another ingredient, for example, potatoes, in the second week.

From the third week – provided that it is tolerated – some meat can then also be added to the menu.

WHEN IS PORRIDGE FED?

Evening feeding of porridge can be started after the fourth month. Choose a porridge that your child should like.

You can also request sample packs from various manufacturers. So you don’t have to throw away any remains of the packaging if your child doesn’t like the porridge.
